Tis the Season...
Wow it is already that time of year again...every year Lars and I come up with a creative letter that tells about the major events that have been going on in our lives over the past year to help update everyone around us. In addition to this letter, we also send out a cute Christmas Card that usually has a picture of our family... Lars, Crystal, Rusty, and Kirin.... in front of our Christmas tree. This year I am so excited to get to design our Christmas Card on Shutterfly's website. They have a very extensive website with lots and lots of choices of card layouts and options to choose from. You can seriously spend hours looking at all of them. I have made several Photo Books through Shutterfly... our Wedding, Honeymoon, 1st anniversary, and 2nd anniversary...(Look at the last few posts to see the photo books we have made through Shutterfly) and I have a few more to make too... our trip to London and our most recent trip to Hawaii... I'll get to those soon hopefully. But anyways, my point being that their products are amazing and we have really enjoyed the quality that Shutterfly provides. I am super excited to get to choose one of their beautiful layouts to send to our friends and family this year! Here are a few of the layouts that we really like so far....
When Lars and I finally decide on a card design we'll post it.... but until then... MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Our House.... Finally!!
Our New Home
We have finally moved in and have begun to get settled. And we now have the internet so I thought I would update with new pictures of our house buying process and what they house looks like now. We have started to decorate a little, but I still looking forward to the day when we can kick our feet up and relax.... ya ya we know that really won't happen now that we are home owners, but we can dream can't we!

Way too long....
Well, it has been way too long since we have posted anything on our blog.... We have been very busy with work, going to school, and ..... buying our first home. Yes, it is official, we are now home owners. We closed on our beautiful new home yesterday! Lars kept track of how many times we had to sign paperwork and it ended up being 64 times!!! WOW!!!
After we closed we went to American Furniture and bought all of our new furniture. Then we went out to celebrate this grand occasion at none other than Buffalo Wild Wings for some wings and beer. What could be better!?!?!
Then we had to stop for some Cold Stone on the way home. It was a wonderful day! We are both so happy that all of these plans have happened so smoothly. We had not planned on buying a house until year 4 of our marriage, but I guess God had other plans for us because he was able to show us this wonderful opportunity that we were to take! It's just amazing how wonderful life is and to know that God has a hand in all of it!

10. Go to the Denver Aquarium
At the Denver Aquarium with some friends...

We went to the Denver Aquarium with some friends from out east, Eastern Colorado that is. We wandered through the exhibits and saw some pretty cool aquatic life. One fish of note was a tire tread eel. This was interesting because we got to see a full grown one at the aquarium, and if you've seen our small fish tank you know we recently got a tire tread eel, and he's about 10 inches long at this point. Anyway, the full grown one we saw was easily over two feet long and was quite thick, further research showed they can top out at about 38 inches, and we realized "we're gonna need a bigger tank!" After the aquarium we took a brief walk down to the platte river, followed by a small lunch at Lola'a for happy hour where crayon wars ensued. As we left Crystal saw a small ice cream stand, and of course we had to stop.

6. Go to Breckenridge Beerfest
Breckenridge Beer Festival
2010
2010
We went up to Breckenridge to enjoy the mountain air, see the sites, do some walking, and something else.... I just can't remember. Oh yeah, drink beer!!! We started the day at Rasta Pasta, a fusion of Jamaican and Italian cuisine, actually very good. The we headed over, rather anxiously to the festival. There were over 40 breweries at this years festival, with a live music accompaniment that varied from awesome to Beyonce covers (that's the polar opposite of awesome in case you're wondering). We made it to about 35 of the breweries before closing time, where.... you guessed it; "you don't have to go home, but you can't stay here." At this point we sauntered (which is a really apt description) back to our condo and attempted to order pizza. Note to those who want to attempt this: the cheapest pizza place we found would deliver two large pizzas for $50! So we went to the grocery store and got DiGiorno, it really didn't matter, we couldn't taste anything at that point anyway. Great time, great people! See you there next year!
