It's totally crazy that for the second day in a row my school district called a snow day so lucky me I get to teach through June 1st... hopefully not any longer. Why we do not include snow days in our schedule I have no idea, but these last two days have allowed me to get a lot of stuff done.

First on the list today was to get our taxes ready to send in to our amazing CPA, Gary. It is crazy how much your taxes change when you buy a house. I was on the phone with my dad for about an hour and then on the phone with Gary's office for another 30 minutes at least. I am just thankful that we have a great friend that we can trust to get our taxes done right. It is quite a relief knowing that we are finally done too... just have to wait to get our check :)
Next on the list was to go and test drive more cars that were on our list. And yes I grumbled a little when Lars suggested going to do this again, but this outing was very successful and we are pretty sure we found the car that will replace Lars' Toyota Tundra.
Car #1: Hyundai Elantra
We were pretty impressed by this car. It drove great and was very comfortable. The price was right, but there was just something about it that didn't make it sparkle.
Car #2:Hyundai Tucson
This car also fit all of our needs and was all-wheel drive; however it was at the very top end of our budget if not over our budget. We did like that it had blue tooth technology and heated seats and a lot of amenities that we would enjoy.

This was a great car that drove wonderfully. Despite being two-wheel drive it handled the snow admirably. We were very impressed with how roomy and well designed the interior of the car is. It comes with key-less entry and push button start. It also comes standard with blue-tooth technology, which as you can tell is very important to both of us since it makes driving so much safer. This car impressed us more that we thought it would and we might have just found the car we needed!
These past two days have been very successful and has allowed us the time to figure out what we really need and it is really nice to finally have a good idea of what could reasonably take the place of our very missed Toyota Tundra. Someday we hope to get another truck when it is a little bit more affordable on gas. We could not have asked for a better truck and we are really going to miss it, but it is nice to know that life happens and we can handle it with prayer and faith that everything will work out.
