Well that time that Lars & I and so many of our friends and family finally came last Friday. We spent the entire week before spoiling him and giving him all of the things he had grown to love over the past seven years.
He loved getting to lick ice cream bowls or cups from shakes.....
His absolute favorite thing was hot dogs with mustard and ketchup.
It was nice for the two us to give ourselves a week to work up to what we both knew was inevitable. Last Friday evening we took our Rusty for his last car ride to the vet's office where we said our final good byes.
He was such an amazing dog and we will truly miss his cheerful attitude that he always carried with him. His brother, Kirin, definitely misses him too as he will not leave our laps when we are home and waits by the door when we get home. Our whole family is going to have to learn to live without our precious boy, but he will always be in our hearts!!!
